I am a licensed radiographer from Sweden, working in the field since 2013. My primary focus is on CT and MRI, alternating between the two modalities on a daily basis. I am responsible for inserting intravenous cannulas (IV lines) myself when contrast media is required, based on the examination protocol determined by the referring physician.

I have experience operating both Philips and GE MRI systems, as well as Siemens and GE CT scanners. While my main duties involve CT and MRI, I also perform skeletal radiography when needed—though this is less frequent due to the high demand for CT and MRI examinations. Earlier in my career, I gained extensive experience in general X-ray and fluoroscopy.

In addition to my clinical work, I have completed a Master’s degree in Medical Imaging with a specialization in CT. My thesis focused on a phantom study comparing 3D camera-based patient centering with manual centering performed by experienced CT technologists. The study is published and available on DiVA (Academic Archive Online) via Örebro University.

These are such good points! I did not go to nursing school because of IVs, and then I went to CT right after graduation🤣

I'm looking for some guidance on a career path in the medical technician field. I'm not entirely sure what's the best route. I'd like to get certified in something fairly quick to get working faster. Any suggestions?

And also you need to make sure all the equipment before the next patient is clean, especially the ones with viral or bacterial diseases. And what is that moniter that moves, what does that do?

Also... if you do a rectal exam and they want a second opinion... it doesn't mean twice the fingers (a proctologist said this once at a fundraiser to all attendees).
