Very good advice, this is why I call them 'active recovery days' opposed to rest days.

Going for a walk or doing some sort of low intensity cardio is benefial during a rest day since geting the blood flowing and moving aids recovery. Stretching and foamroaling etc is also good.

I train so hard in the gym during the week that I have to do nothing but rest on the weekend because I get plenty of cardio from going to work 5 days a week

Had leg day on Friday and I always find it’s better to at least stand as much as possible because whenever I sit down for more than 10 minutes getting up feels like it’s own workout and the second I manage to stand up I feel like I’m gonna fall over

I tend to go for a swim. Great cardio, soft on joints, blood flow promotes recovery

My problem is that I just don’t know how to rest. When I spend longer than normal playing a game or watching tv I feel terrible

It’s true! I enjoy alternating swimming and tennis on my days off. Getting my proper cardio in on days where I’m not directly weight training feels better, and it could be placebo but I feel like I’m gaining strength and size faster now that I’m not just grinding treadmill right after I lift.

I find that my body kinda tells me how much energy I have lol, I’m on a feet a lot most days because of work and school but like on days when I haven’t been active much I always wanna volunteer to walk the dogs and stuff

Just go for a walk stretches would help a lot I even just search on YouTube for active recovery workout and then it’s just like a 20 minute follow along video and I feel great after AND REMEMBER TO GET YOUR PROTEIN

It Was Sunday yesterday, a rest day, all I did was 5 minute cardio in the morning, chilled with my kids after, and a 5 min cardio in the night and then laid in bed and put on stranger things... those my rest days
