He said “respectfully” then dropped that hot potato and screws became astronauts.

As soon as he said “take apart the GBA SP” I knew I wouldn’t be able to do this

I do like the slim form factor. If you're stepping away from the original casing for a new look then it definitely needs to carry its own weight. The box one is too reminiscent of the original form for me.

As someone who has built both i like the slate more even though i have big hands. The screen seems larger and you can use either plastic or metal buttons.

They both look awesome but if I had to choose one, I would definitely pick up the slate

The aggressive shoving of the cable made my soul shudder

I don't know why you would want a bulky Gameboy Advanced, I still have mine from back then and absolutely love that it is flippable.

Loving the way the red one looks in the new red shell

"respectfully" proceed to slam the gameboy to get the screws out.

I’m so tired. When you said unhinged SP my brain thought of just an angry SP with a knife. Carry on.

"Hey, Do you know the convenience and compactness of having a foldable case? Let's throw it in the toilet for an aluminum one"

I know "everyone's a critic" but I'm definitely not a fan of just cramming in excess wires during a build. I suggest clipping those flying lead wires for the brightness control a bit shorter (with a little bit of slack) then doing a bit of managing for their routing. Also, a little bit of flux before the heat and some isopropyl and a toothbrush after soldering the new switch in will remove that flux residue so it doesn't cause issues down the road. But hey, you do you. I'm just really into preservation- trying to think of the owners years down the road.
