I always had a small headphone adapter that plugs into the charging port. This adapter basically had a passthrough for charging + the headphone jack.

This is also definitely way more convenient and nice to use than your solution with the cord sticking out of the side where your fingers are...so not that useful, but a cool little project to get some basic modding experience. 😁

They DID have a lowkey workaround with the charging port. They made headphones that supported it. Just look em up

I never got to own an sp. But I had a gba with all the attachments lol, the magnifier, the light, the mic. Ohhhh and I owned a micro. I loved my gba micro so much
