Dealerships should be legally obligated to warn customers when these shortages exist so new customers know what they are getting themselves into or else its almost criminal

Don’t buy expensive cars, Americans are obsessed with consumerism

This is why i removed extended warranty from my used vehicle, if something breaks ill find part quicker in salvage yard from a wrecked one and i can get job done quicker. Something to think about instead of wasting over 3k for extended warranty now

Have them verify which parts, then ask for the inventory shipping records from the Honda Parts Distribution Center located at 4525 W Royal Ln, Irving, TX 75063, one of 12 in the US. I mean... we ship 19 trucks a day, 5 days a week all over TX, OK, AR, CO and LA.

My Lexus last year sat at the dealership repair shop from the beginning of August to mid October. Rear window was on back order. My insurance covered 1 month of a rental. I asked the dealership for a loaner and they offered to compt me 13 days worth of a rental. The rest of the time, it came out of my pocket. They were also nice enough to give me a discounted daily rate. I had no idea the rental car prices had skyrocketed. A compact car which almost everywhere started at $19.99, was now $100 a day.

My 2020 Civic Si has been sitting in a body shop for 8 months now because Honda wont release the radar sensor I need. Now my collision center is telling me that the “expected date” is middle of February.

Honda is garbage when it comes to part availability now. Heard another story of an Acura that needs to wait 3 months for PAINT! I’ve been having to eat all the payments not only for my car, but also for my insurance for a vehicle that hasn’t touched pavement for almost a year. Unbelievable.

I can relate to this man’s pain. Hence I will never ever go to a dealership for repairs and service. It happened to my vehicle in June of 2021. My vehicles catalytic converter was going bad, oil consumption and bad engine performance. Repairs cost me 4000 and I gave it to dealership in June and I didn’t get it back until September. And worst part of it was the dealership kept giving me excuses about the parts not being delivered on Time, they didn’t even have a loaner vehicle. Very frustrating I was at my wits end. In the end I ended up selling the vehicle on Facebook for 4200. I will never deal with these people again my biggest mistake was trusting them I feel your pain sir.

Wonder what the laws are in Texas regarding constructive total losses. Let’s say his car was $50K. If the repairs were $30K and the salvage value was $25K, Progressive would lose $5K fixing the car. Just write it off!

My friend was in a relatively minor accident, there wasn’t really that much damage except the airbags did deploy. Her insurance company totaled the car because they couldn’t get replaced airbags. It was a 2018 Chevy equinox with with 25, 000 miles.

I have no idea how this guy went 8 months and made $8k worth of payments without his car. Dallas is huge and people depend on personal vehicles more than public transit. I bought my truck new in Jan with 18 miles on the odometer and here we are in September and I’m already at 22k miles. I’d sue the pants off Acura too!

David McDavid acura was the first acura dealership in the USA. I had a Buick Grand National, went through the same thing with state farm . Was making payments on a GN while driving a stanza the insurance provided while my car sat at the buick dealership on plano parkway. The rear axle was on intergalactic back order .looks like it's worse now
