I'm 72 and feel 35 again. No carbs, grains, wheat, sugar. I'm almost a 100% carnivor. My energy is through the roof. And I have a woody in the morning again. I know TMI.

I maybe guilty of hyperbole here, but I am willing to go out on a limb and say that Dr. Sarah Hallberg's work at Virta Health, if people thought about diet rationally and without reference to ideology or in deference to financial interests, should be the death nail to low fat dogma. The clinical evidence gleaned from her study of diabetic patients, and the demonstrable potency of the low carb diet in reducing not only A1C, but a host of other worrisome health markers, should be the impetus behind sweeping changes in the dietary advice that we dispense to the public. The only reason as to why this will not occur is because certain interest groups, due to belief systems and financial incentives, are impediments to the truth. Thank you Dr. Hallberg for this life saving work that you are doing. Thank you to the producers of this channel for giving Dr. Hallberg a platform to further give her work exposure.

I find Dr Hallberg explains things so well. I try to listen to her speak whenever I can.

Sarah is one reason I'm low carb/ keto. Have gone from 6.4 to 5.4 a1c lost from a size 20 to a 14.
I'm 70 and wish that Doctors would at least talk about this instead of pushing WW or a diabetic diet. My labs are much better. It's not hard to follow and incorporate into your life.

Thank you, such a pleasure to listen to Dr Sarah Hallberg - I love learning from the leadership group that I have discovered over the last 3 to 4 years and I think I almost have the equivalent of a university degree - lol!

Excellent presentation. Your lecture should be mandatory material for diabetes education. I was tired of hearing from medical professionals that you have to eat carbs for diabetes management. I am on a low carb diet now and my a1c is in a normal range and my blood lipids have shown improvement

I believe I sabotaged my brother with the food I was buying
I may have even sabotaged myself, and so put my bloodline at risk
I pray with all my heart that we can reverse this. Thank you

A real low fat diet is not 30% fat but 15% fat so you obtained different results than the ones shown here and there is No calorie restriction. Just eat until you are satisfied is the motto. It’s not a deprivation diet.

Hard to believe this information has been out so long and yet nothing has changed regarding what my Drs. have told me. Our healthcare industry are failing us folks. Thank goodness there are still some good Drs. out there. Just need to get the word out.

artificial sweeteners may not spike insulin...but the liver has to deal with them in some other way. If insulin spikes are your hyper focus vs. liver load, your carb-like chemicals are just fine....until they are not.
Defend and protect the liver...it's the true source of life.

I wish that the YouTube description of lectures such as this would include a link to the slide deck and/or links to all the studies referenced in the lecture.

"This would not be a partisan issue!" I find that very optimistic.
However, the fact that Hallberg paid attention to the experimental withdrawals as much as the subjects who completed the experiment really impresses me.
