I grew up in Florida and we all understood that if you go swimming (even in fresh water), you’re taking a plausible risk of getting bit or stung by something powerful.

That was a little alligator. He clearly wanted nothing to do with them. He was happy to have found a quiet river to chill and these loud people disturbed his peace.

I grew up in Florida. The number one rule to remember...if there is water, there are alligators in that water.
