China has been raising eyebrows with its missions to space, but Beijing’s new ambition is jaw dropping. Beijing has ordered a 5-year study to investigate the possibility of building world’s largest spacecraft. China intends to build a kilometer-long spacecraft, making it one of the most ambitious projects in human history.

National Science Foundation of China, an agency managed by the country’s Ministry of Science and Technology is funding the study. The agency is offering nearly £1.7 million for study of new, lightweight designs and materials, and construction techniques in space.

This is a very ambitious project not just for china but just for the entire humanity. Though it will have huge raw material and cost requirements and many other components but it is possible

..this is what I like about China...they do things big..extremely courageous..extremely focused..the owners of the great wall..the only man made object that can be seen from space...anyone one can say anything...but that doesn't change the fact that they are so genius.
