I have quite a lot of problems with this movie. But this…this right here…is my ideal version of Batman. Bruce Wayne is my all-time favorite fictional character, and I’ve always envisioned him this way: a sad, broken man trying to make the world a little less sad and lonely. A hero who knows his quest is futile, but presses on because he doesn’t know how to do anything else. A dark man who could easily be the villain if he wanted to be, but instead weaponizes that darkness against people who truly deserve it. And you know…I’ve always preferred it when he’s an older guy.

RIP Batfleck, the Andrew Garfield of Batman. He’ll always be my favorite, even if the folks behind the scenes let him down time and again.

That last line hurts so much with how Batfleck’s now basically been erased post Flashpoint. This version of Bruce with his specific experiences will never grab that bite with Barry

Affleck really got the melancholy of Bruce's existence right in this scene. Even with the people he cares about, like Barry, he's isolated and lonely and is aware of it. But he also knows its the only way for him to do what he does.

Sad this is the best version of affleck Bruce we’ve seen and is the last.
This one scene is probably the most mature Bruce has felt on screen, from the meaning behind his words as well the acting.
Basically the inverse of Pattison, who is till young, and in the time where he makes lots of mistakes as Batman and Bruce.
