1:40 Jokes all aside. Imagine you're a frightened citizen, holed up inside your home. You're scared for your family. You don't know if you'll live tomorrow...then you look outside and see this. Batman clearly is the epitome of hope.

Ras Al Ghul taught Batman how to walk on ice. That’s why it didn’t break.

For people wondering why he took the the time to make the symbol - "People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy and I can’t do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man, I’m flesh and blood. I can be ignored. I can be destroyed. But as a symbol — as a symbol, I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting."

I realised that the small bomb which he gives to Blake to throw at the rubble is like a warning blast for the people stuck there, so that they can get back to a safe distance and prepare themselves for what's coming.

The fact that people consider this masterpiece Christopher Nolan's worst movie just shows how legendary Nolan movies really are.

"A man who has healed himself after being broken is the most powerful warrior out of them all". This movie is about Batman's character and how he handles adversity

1:22 - Gordon facing almost certain death - see's flare
1:23 - Hears the voice of his greatest ally for the first time in 8 years, when there was absolutely no hope. He can't believe it - is it really him?
1:24 - Back to business.

Gary Oldman. Masterful actor.

S doesn't mean hope. A big flaming bat symbol does.

He is the street artist that Gotham deserves but not the one that it needs now.

Fun fact: The dude that pushes Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character off the ledge is Christopher Judge, better known as Kratos in the 2018 God of War. You can even hear a bit of the Kratos voice when he asks Levitt who he is

Batman came full circle here. While he was training in the first movie, he fell through the ice when fighting Ra's Al Ghul. Now in the finale, he walked confidently on ice like it was nothing. By conquering the fear of the people forced to go on the ice, he re-established himself as the symbol of hope for Gotham.

"count to five THEN throw"
second count, blake throws the thing. Fifth count thing explodes. Batman straight up tried to murder Blake.

I absolutely love the symbolism of the burning bat signal. No one had seen him for 8 years and his signal was destroyed by Gotham PD. No one hoped to see the signal and were almost certainly expecting to die at any moment, so to see the bat signal burning on the bridge with a “I’m back bois” vibe, must’ve been spectacular. (As the scene displays)
