We all know the high ground is the ultimate advantage. However, what if Obi-Wan was unable to defeat Anakin despite this tremendous advantage? This moment sealed Anakin's fate, doomed to become the faceless monster we all know and love. So what if Anakin acted differently?

As the two former friends face off, Anakin sees his former master's defensive stance. He knew Obi-Wans defense was impeccable.

Instead, Anakin draws on the Dark Side and chokes his friend using the Force. Obi-Wan drops his lightsaber and clutches at his throat. The two share one long look of pure hatred before Anakin clenches his fist and breaks Obi-Wants neck.

Stopping only to take Obi-Wan's lightsaber, Anakin hurries to Padme. He takes her to a medical station to recover from the birthing process. With Anakin by her side, he uses the Force to give her strength, allowing her to survive. Padme gives birth to a set of twins. However, the effort leaves her exhausted.

Anakin decides to leave her there to heal while he returns to Coruscant. He says he is there to report to Palpatine that he defeated Obi-Wan, but he has another reason. Anakin's main motivation for turning to the dark side was to save his wife, now that he knows she will recover, he has no further need for Palpatine.

Stopping at the Coruscant guard barracks, Anakin gives only a single command. "Execute Order 65."

With that done, he enters Palpatine's office.

Palpatine: Ahhh young Skywalker. I take it this means Kenobi will trouble us no more.

Anakin: No, I will hear his voice for the rest of my life. But don't worry, I will make sure you don't share that burden.

Igniting Obi-Wans lightsaber, he hurls it at Palpatine who leaps off his desk to avoid being impaled. Raising his lightsabers, the two engage in a duel. Despite his age, Palpatine is an effective fighter and his two lightsabers keep Aankin on the defensive.

However, Palpatine has not fully recovered from his encounter with Mace Windu and remains fatigued. Slowly, Anakin begins to push back against him, turning a defeat into a stalemate. As they lock swords, members of the Couroscant guard burst in with their weapons drawn.

Palpatine: Quickly commander. Skywalker has lost his mind. Stop him before he kills me.

Commander Fox: With all due respect, sir. Why would we obey a traitor?

Suddenly, the clones raise their blasters and fire into Palpatine's back, killing him instantly. As he falls to the ground, Anakin callously uses the Force to throw his body aside and uses his holo disk to contact the medical station. To his surprise, he's greeted by a medical droid instead of Padme.

Anakin demands to see his wife, but the droid reveals that Padme left with her children. She left a message for Anakin, saying how much she loved him, but she cannot allow her children to be raised by a murderer. Instead, she left and took them far away where he may never find her.

As the message ends, Anakin goes into a frenzy, unleashing a wave of Force power that sends the troopers flying across the room. Anakin remains in the shattered office well into nightfall, not saying a word or eating. Instead, he contemplates what Padme said, not believing she truly meant that.

He had cleansed the galaxy of Palpatine's evil and the Jedi's hypocrisy. Without them, the Force was in the balance as neither side could use it to oppress others. Anakin becomes determined to prove his wife wrong.

He declares himself emperor, saying Palpatine died from his injuries against Mace Windu, and begins to reform the Empire. He cracks down on any abuses against the common people. Many corporations are punished, crime lords are persecuted and corrupt senators are imprisoned.

Anakin also takes an active role in squashing out the remaining CIS. This immediately makes him a popular figure amongst the people. While Vader was a symbol of fear, Anakin was a symbol of hope, having come from the lowest runs of society to become a Jedi and now the ruler of the galaxy. He's met with approval almost everywhere.

As Anakin consolidates his rule, Padme decides to settle on Tatooine. Here she finds a home with Owen Lars and his wife.

Luke and Leia grow up on the planet as farmers, never knowing who their father is or of their Force abilities as Padme fears that Anakin might kill them if they're discovered. Padme spends her time caring for the poor, freeing slaves, and trying to improve the conditions of the people there.

Very good story. And I think that’s a very fitting ending, with Vader fulfilling his Chosen One destiny by allowing himself to be killed (because a fully-trained, full-bodied Vader would have been too powerful for his much younger twins and Yoda).

Too bad the crime bosses and warlords were on the “right side of history, ” but I guess that’s how it goes sometimes.

As we know darth vader was a natural engineer and could use technoguru or whatever so what if he used skill to create nanobots to repair his lungs and burns while also making limbs that could conduct the force to make lightning. This could relate to inquisitor baris as she used nanobots in the bomb and he may remember nanobots and their uses. He could could also conduct experiments diguised as torture to fool sidious, learning to heal wounds, make force sensitive droids/limbs and using nano bots to manipulate mididclorians to strip or enhance the force in individuals.
What I was thinking was that he used nanobots to remove scar tissue especially around the lungs and he would be dipped in bacta or bacta would be applied this would allow him breath which means he can meditate more deeply. And for the limbs, it is possible to make material force sensitive and I was thinking he make limbs skeletal looking like in attack of the clones but would then cover the we either grafed flesh from his body or flesh made from his blood and other ingredients like perhaps kyber crystal this would make the force flow from him easier and perhaps with the sith alchemy in the limbs making his force lightning more powerful. Basically an uber vader who is perhaps stronger than full potential anakin.
