To date I've worked with literally thousands of restaurant pros, so I've seen a lot, including a lot of restaurant owners who don't pay themselves. There are a lot of reasons these owners don’t take a regular paycheck, but what so many restaurant owners don’t understand is there is a major downside to not paying yourself from your own business.

I can relate. I'm guilty of each and every one of those reasons. Tough years unstable political situation, economy crashing, inflation everyweek. I started my home food business last year when my weight was at the borderline. I lost 5 kg and my weight was not increasing. I was frustrated because I was not getting paid. I realized I needed to prioritize myself first if I wanted to continue. Hearing your podcast made me realize my mistake deeply. I am listening to your podcast and developing a system for my business. Although some things are difficult to understand because of policy and continent differences.

Work 7 days a week...✔️
Building out my commissary bootstrapped...✔️
Dealing with shorthanded scenarios often...✔️
But...one of the main issues is the cost of the software mnthly fees to keep track of costs etc.
Id love to be able to speak to DSP but being able to "schedule time" and find out if you're available hasnt been possible until now..I only have mondays available at the moment...
