Andor wasn't slow. It was PATIENT.

After watching Andor, It's really sad that Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi, two of the most well known characters in the franchise didn't get the same treatment for their own shows in terms of writing and quality.

I recently started rewatching Andor, and it's amazing how different the show is once you know where it's going to end. I'm seeing Cassian's growth much more starkly when I can contrast him with where he ends up.

It's really sad that we live in a time where world building and character development in an story is considered "soap opera"

Andor was not only the best Star War series, it was comfortably one of the best TV series Ive ever seen period. I'm genuinely preparing for Mando season 3 by reminding myself that it's unrealistic to expect it to be nearly as good as Andor lol

I was one of the people who was going to give up on live-action Star Wars. Andor was the last chance I was going to give Disney because I've realized Disney tends to do a lot better with their own original character then legacy ones. Man am I glad I gave Andor a chance.

I think Andor is the best product out of both. It is actually a good TV show on its own, and while I think the Mandalorian has some good qualities, its success mainly comes from the multiple characters that appeared from other StarWars media, talking about season 2 here.

Mando season 2's finale made me weep tears to see Luke get some much needed badassery but was quickly undone by BOBF... Andor was mostly consistently strong, deep, well acted and directed and complex... I already said this before but yes... this is the best Star Wars show... not just of Disney era, but all Star Wars shows (TV shows, not movies) for me.

I think even those SW fans who don’t like Andor can at least appreciate that the creators took it so seriously, didn’t damage canon or make light of legacy characters, and demonstrated to Disney how important high production values are to the fans. I’m hoping that other shows will benefit from the lessons learned from Andor and that other creators will get the resources and time necessary to create at this level.

If you told me towards the end of last year that Andor would not only be incredible in its own right, but also better than Boba Fett AND Kenobi, i would have laughed in your face. I’ll admit I wasn’t entirely sold in the beginning 2 episodes, but I stuck with it and purposely waited and watched it in 3 episode batches and it blew me away every time and made it really hard to wait 3 weeks at a time! It did the impossible and deserves all the recognition it’s getting and then some! To anyone who may have been in the same camp as me and doubtful at first, I strongly encourage giving it another chance.

Besides showing “the backbone of the rebellion”, Andor showed people finding their own voice… a crucial step towards change.

Andor was the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" of the Star Wars TV shows. It grounded it into something realer. But, The Mandalorian is the more important show that set the pace. Mandalorian can be followed by a smart 11 year old and Andor is meant for the 18 and up crowd. But, I think Andor is nitch ( and smart ), while Mando feels more Star Wars-sy. I think Andor needed more robots and puppet creatures to round out the Star Wars saga feel...

“Andor: A New Hope” seems to be a relevant title. New hope for Star Wars.

I get where people are coming from that the first 3 eps feel the slowest but you also have to remember, we didn't know what to make of this show to begin with so we had to adjust and grow with the show... perhaps if you watch it again, it won't seem as slow because you get why this is necessary to setup stakes, relationships, motivations, and the tone of the world and stories that we will tell going forward

I hope a lot of people watch it. I’m watching it with my roommate who have never watched any Star Wars and she is LOVING it!! She’s actually WANTING to watch the next episode and telling people about it

The Mandalorian is a fantastic show, but I rate Andor a little higher because the writing is phenomenal.

After the finale, is there anyone still debating on this?

the fact we didn't get this quality of writing for obi wan might be the biggest tragedy after the sequels.

Andor really highlighted something that bugs me about the sequel trilogy- the central characters out-way the importance of all the regular people in the war. We see one force projection as the single target of an entire army, and one force user disable an entire fleet. This kind of power makes the individual contributions of the rebels on the ground entirely irrelevant. Compare this to the OT, Andor, or Rogue. We feel the fear of the rebel troopers because we’re on the ground with them, facing down AT-ATs. We see up close the risks and sacrifices made by regular people that collectively make a big difference, rather than the fate of the galaxy resting in the hands of 2-3 ridiculously overpowered force users.

Best star wars show hands down. I was really sad how Disney took this franchise and basically made a mockery of it. But I cannot say how much this one show has showed me there is still hope.
