The BEST Detail in Andor Episode Ten

This is the best detail in Andor episode ten you may have missed. Before the prison break, we see Cassian lying in his bunk, wide awake. That’s important because the night before the Aldhani heist, Nemik lamented his own inability to sleep. He hoped his conviction would give him peace, but it didn’t. Meanwhile he noticed Cassian, who believes in nothing, sleeping like a stone. Cassian’s inability to sleep before the prison break shows that his own personal conviction is growing. Although Kino Loy largely leads the escape, Cassian is right alongside him the entire time. They’re following his plan. Cassian is starting to see that victory against the Empire is actually possible and that he might have a part to play in the rebellion. It’s such a small moment in the episode, but I love it.

Kino being left behind destroyed me, at school just after watching the episode, I could only think about if he was alive, but I think that his death would make most sense, putting Cassian on the road to his ending on scarif

None of the other Star Wars shows hold this level of detail. This show is comparable to that of Mr. Robot, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and The Sopranos in how it handles depth within the cinematography and screenplay. Tony Gilroy put so much heart into this show, and it's undeniably his magnum opus. I hope we see much more Star Wars work from him in the future; genius.

There are so many little details like this in Andor. The characters are so well written. I love this show so much.

I think Cassian’s difficulty sleeping also represents the level of discomfort Cassian has in this situation and the fact that the stakes are much higher. Not only is it the lives of those who have chosen to be part of the prison break conspiracy that are at stake, but also the lives of the entire prison, and perhaps even all of the lives in the other floating prisons.

So much in the show demonstrated incredible attention to detail. Everyone involved displayed the drive to make it as good as possible. I really wish this had gotten more attention.

Nice catch! 100% it is very unlike Cassian to loose sleep over something like that.

It continues to impress me how there is zero dead air with Andor, everything has some kind of narrative purpose, even if it's a tiny little hint of growth like this

This culminates perfectly in the ending of the last episode, which i won’t quote for the sake of spoilers, but anyone who watched it should know what i mean.

Wait, what do you mean? That the writer actually used a previous scene to point out character development? That is preposterous sir. Dammit, cant wait for season 2.
