How to install a plastic guttering system - OSMA Rainwater

Did mine on a 12 ft timber shed. I put a water butt under the downpipe for collecting rainwater. The string tip is a great idea (make sure the your baseboard is level) Works a treat. Well designed products.

The result of stringlining into the outlet is that the line rests on the rubber seal which, upon installation, is compressed and this results in an increased fall between the final bracket and the outlet. I note you make this symmetrical by having an approximately 1mm fall (in 200mm ish = 1:200?) on the short section of gutter on the other side of the running outlet. To me the increased fall looks wrong, but I wonder if this is for a technical reason?

What I don't understand is why a quality manufacturer such as OSMA forces installers to rely on eyeballing (6:02) the union bracket to ensure correct alinement. It would be great if a manufacturer would consider a way that the position of the union bracket could easily be marked to be precisely in line with the run of the gutter (perhaps the bottom of the union bracket might finish in line with the bottom of the adjacent support brackets?). Perhaps that might be a future project for your R&D department?

Hi, great instrucrion video, thank you. You didn't mention how to secure the downpipe clips i.e. into the brick or into the mortar? And whether you recommend rawlplugs or or going straight in with tapcons or self tappers etc. Please can you advise?

Thank you for this helpful video... I just wondered how you calculate the mathematics for the fall gradient of the guttering. Do you times the length of the gutter by the 1.6 mm rule or is it another equation to reach the total overall fall? I am finding that part of my project rather challenging so any advice would be very much appreciated🤔?

What if the fascia board is not level and youre measuring from the bottom for your fall?

The video was shut off just when the gutter was inserted in the bracket because this is where I am having problems. I thought there might be a special tool to clip the gutters to the brackets, but it looks like there is always going to be a problem installing the gutters to the brackets.

Ye should make it mandatory for installation companies to watch the 1.6 mm per m slope!

It should be 5 brackets on a guttering with it being 600 mm apart each bracket and also 1mm drop every bracket and it should have a fall of 5mm on other end
