This was easiest to understand tutorial I’ve seen, every other vid is 4+ min and doesn’t show how to actually get the anchor in. Thank you!

You are correct, the method shown in this video may get the job done, but there is a reason the instructions say to drill the hole. I don't think you'll ever see the manufacturer or a masterful drywall finisher suggest this method...but I'm not either so I could be wrong. I've just used them several times and have learned by trial that drilling according to the instructions seems to be easiest and most effective in the long run, from start to patching the hole...especially inserting the anchor, and fixing/patching steps!

The other big factor here is, even if you get the anchor in, if the hole wasn't large enough you end up break up the drywall inside the hole with the screw that's not made for drywall, and the anchor that's too big for the hole... so when you get the things hung up, you anchor is grabbing onto drywall gravel instead of sheetrock and/or your anchor is compromised before it ever gets a chance at it's intended use. This can lead to a significant difference in the security of anchor. Where would you prefer to attach your belongings, in a wall of rock or a pile of gravel?

Thank you for the helpful video. I've been beating up my plastic anchors for a curtain rod with a hammer and they are bent and not all the way in the wall.

Haha. I wish it was that easy. Video is great. Except when I tap the anchor in the wall it starts to bend and smash. And yes, I check that there is no stud behind the wall. ☹️

I tried this and the hardest part is removing the screw - it takes part of the wall away

Crimany, didn't know how easy it could be! Why would anyone want to use a drill if it's that easy!?🤷
