US College Admissions Guide: 11th Grade

Welcome back to my series where I give you a broad overview of what to focus on each year of high school in preparation for getting into college in the US! Today, it's all about grade 11.
Understanding the admissions system and having a plan can make all the difference, and international students often don't have the informational advantage. I had to spend so much time and energy poring over (often useless) information online, so I hope to give you some quick and helpful takeaways with this series.

11th grade is often considered "the most intense" year! I don't necessarily think this is untrue, but it's important to keep in mind that U.S. colleges take a holistic approach (meaning they look at the big picture, not just a specific aspect of your abilities) so nothing like one specific class or test grade will sway your results. Don't stress yourself out too much!
