I did the OAC thing manually and it took about 4 weeks. The music note thing next to your name I've noticed raises a few eyebrows in regular comment sections 😂

I went directly to youTube support for my artist channel and even though I met all the requirements, they took 4 month to approve it.

Just applied for my artist channel with Distrokid, got 3 releases, finger crossed and let’s wait ☺️

I tried to do now, Distrokid made it sure that it wasnt easy to find, what you need to do is:
1 - Make sure your artist has at least one release that has selected "YouTube Music" as a streaming service within DistroKid.
2 - Go to the YouTube Official Artist Channel section of your DistroKid account. To get there:
3 - Select the Goodies menu in the upper right
4 - Select "Special access"
5 - Select "YouTube Official Artist Channel"
6 - Select the artist you want to associate with your YouTube channel.
7 - Authenticate into your YouTube account.
8 - Claim your channel!
Done!

Question. Will there be a problem if a few of the artists videos are unrelated to their music? An example being vlogs

I applied to a OAC two days ago, through Distrokid. After a few hours I had a new row in my channel called "Albums & Singles" with playlists featuring my EPs. After about a day another row appeared, called "Music Videos". I did nothing besides submitting my application through DK, so I suppose the change is rolled out gradually. I also assume there are different teams with different product owners at YouTube, in charge of different sections on a channel (I'm saying this because I'm a web developer and know this is common practice in large tech companies, but I'm just guessing). I still haven't got the "note" besides my name, but suppose it will pop after the whole transition is done. It could also be that the icon only shows after one has got 1.000 subscribers, which is a requirement for monetization. Many guesses here... but without knowing for sure we're all just guessing. ;)

I've got few tracks released but they were not added on my Youtube channel. 
By claiming the YT Artist Channel, does that mean that DistroKid & YouTube will gather the tracks that have been automatically uploaded in the 'Artist - Topic' playlist back to our Artist Channel once claim? How do you fix that?
