Amo esta pieza de Beethoven desde los 17 años. Iba al colegio y un hombre en la calle me ofreció porque estaba pasando una gran necesidad económica. Me pidió una suma que hoy sería irrisoria por el casette y me dijo: Nunca se va arrepentir. Y así ha sido, cuando llegue a mi casa y lo escuché me enamoré de esta pieza para toda la vida y que voy por los 69 de vida.

This is the finest performance of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto I have ever heard or seen. The whole production was seamless, from the conductor to the soloist, Ann Sophie Mutter to the orchestra to the magnificent theater. Never to be forgotten!!!

After all these years, when I was looking to decide whether to listen to this or not I saw the conductor face in a still- Seiji Ozawa; and recognized his face, older though it was, and KNEW: this has to be good.

Marvellous rendering of this magnificent concerto! Been listening to the concerto around 70 years. Anne Mutter's playing is spacious, unhurried, delectable! Her remarkable virtuosity is displayed in the Kreisler cadezas in both, the first & the third movements.
Seiji Ozawa & the Berlin Philharmonic are superb here.
