This isn't just "playing music." It's a true interpretation of art and soul. My gratitude extentends to the entire orchestra. Absolutely Magnificent.

There has never been a violinist more polished and prepared in every performance than Hilary Hahn. She is beyond remarkable!

She is a very great violonist. But we must not forget the role of the orchestra, which is so important in this concerto. Both are rendering it masterly.

Even for Hilary Hahn - the most captivating violinist alive today - and a concerto that has been performed many, MANY thousands of times, she truly outdoes herself here. This is the most elegant, breathtaking Beethoven Concerto I have ever heard; the fluency with which she is able to let the solo line unspool, uninterrupted through numerous moods and technical hurdles with absolute control amounts to something profoundly transcendent.

I chose the second mvt to be played during the funerary service for a former girlfriend. It was years ago but I still can't listen to it without tears.

We need music like this now, more than ever.

Hillary gets the same remarkably uniform clarity of tone and spot-on consistency of intonation across the entire range of the Violin that the best Piano/tuner-technician provides. On top of that she finds and conveys every conceivable nuance and detail of phrasing that a composer can hope someone playing their work might uncover and relate. She has incredible solidity of technique but still allows to music to be the star of the performance rather than herself. She's wonderfully respectful of the music in that regard, and dedicates her virtuousity to the art rather than to herself, which I find betokens a humility and generosity that's often rare.

Arguably, the best violin concerto ever and was played flawlessly by Hilary. Beethoven was truly God’s gift to humanity.

24:26 It's so nice to see her happy that the audience enjoyed the cadenza so much, they clapped between movements.

This when I feel the very height of sanity, and the closest to my God, when a group of humans have taken a genius' work of art and committed themselves to playing it the very best they can, such happy weeping for them all, such gratitude to be alive to feel like this.

I was happy to see the positive comments on the fidelity of the recording. I have severe hearing loss and wear hearing aids. While they are state of the art, they are still hearing aids. During the periods when the entire orchestra was playing I could close my eyes and hear each section and/or single instrument, normal for most of you. I can do that at a live performance but not from a recording. One more bravo to the techs.

I have compared Hilary's performance second by second with that of Izak Perlman with Daniel Bareinboin in Berlin in 1992, and I cannot believe how Hilary interprets the part between 19:45 and 23:20 minutes, she plays that part as if they were two violins, in a sublime way, almost like Maestro Itzak, it is fantastic

Classical is so darn under appreciated these days, I am a teenager in school and of the 100 or so kids in our year level, only one of them shares a love for classical music like me. I absolutely adore Hilary and hope to see her perform in person one day. (Hilary pls come to Melbourne)❤❤❤
