Thanks, Patrick. That was really insightful. My party just rolled completely random characters yesterday and at first I was bummed I rolled a female, human cleric, but after your tips I'm actually excited to flesh her out.

Currently playing a Light Domain cleric. Only level 6 but loads of fun. I do wish the domain channel divinity scaled better, though. It's still good, though since it only hurts hostiles + the situational power of dispelling darkness.
