As a hairstylist you are there to help the client keep healthy hair. If they want something and you know it will damage their hair and they are persistent even though it could make their hair fall out or damage it you should refuse the client . It’s better than helping them destroy their hair than receiving a lawsuit

Purple shampoo is NOT a toner. I really wish people would stop saying that. The only reason this person isn't bald is that their hair is locked. If they were loose natural it would be falling off by the fist full. You cant process kinky hair that much and not over-process it.

To those of you on here saying she's only giving him what he's asked for and she's only providing a service not tell him what do, you're wrong. It is her job to advise him also unethical for the hairdresser to do something damaging or would make the customer look ridiculous, regardless of whether they asked for it or not. My mother was a beautician and had her own shop the last 25 yrs of her life. She always said "I'm not doing anything that will make my customers look bad or ruin their hair. When they walk out of here they're representing me and my business. They may not know what's harmful but I do". If they won't listen to me and still want to do something to jeopardize their hair or health, they have to go someplace place". I guess that was a different time and values were different then. Rest well mom. You were the best❤
