After breaking 3 bones in my foor and tearing 2 ligaments, I tightened my shoes and went for a 6 mile walk.... that was a really bad idea. Took 3 times as long to heal. So my advice...break your foot? Listen to your doctor and don't be a moron

I broke multiple bones in my foot on a canoe trip because sections of the river was so shallow and gravelly that we had to walk the canoes in my aqua socks on a 30 mile trip. The doctor was a old timer and took an X-ray and then told me just to keep my sport shoes on tied tight but I could take them off at night and come back in 8 weeks to take another X-ray.

I’m an athlete, when I broke my foot, my dad (who’s a radiologist) thought it was a sprain so I was still walking on it 😂
