The way I went "OH MY GOD IS THAT SALT? " and then when you said sugar I was like "oh it's not that much"

When you cook from home you actually use a lot less sugar and/or salt compared to packaged products

Most people have literally no clue just how much sugar is added to our food. A few spoonfuls added to popcorn is nothing. As she said, there is twice that much in a soda.

Just because our prepackaged food is filled with an insane amount of sugar, doesn't mean 30 grams isn't also an insane amount of sugar

It's so true. People don't realize how much sugar they actually eat, especially in those "healthy foods".

People don’t realize how much sugar they eat when it isn’t blatantly laid out for them in grains.

The saddest part about this is it showcases how people really have no idea how much sugar they consume on the daily basis. Out of sight, out of mind...

It's funny people always shout "DIABETES!" when they see a cooking video for a dessert. Ironically, they're only worried about the sugar they can SEE, because it's homemade! But something processed and chock full of sugar that they don't have to actively think about, well, that's perfectly fine. Worry about your own diets, if a little kettle corn is enough to give someone diabetes you'd better start worrying.
