Wow, I tried purposefully over exposing and wow! You aren't kidding!! You are the only person that explains this. Everyone else is like, yea use a soft box or point it wall. It makes sense why this works though.

I shoot concert photography and really despise using flash. It all looks the same(or horribly over/under exposed when done wrong) and never captures the light/color/feeling of the actual event. Wow that was a great tutorial. I've been doing all the settings in the camera as well as the flash just right, but missing the positioning of the flash head part.
