Your edit compliments the venue even more! I mean, I get needing to see the details but I would have this as the banner of my website lol! Awesome job!

I love the way you notice the floor is being lighted too much. And the simple feathering of the soft box and then adjusting in post with the gradient. Can you tell me what that cart/stroller looking thing is in the video?

Thanks, Vanessa! Would you submit both versions of your final edit to the client? I always get, "I like what you did here, but can you in my experience, It always leads to multiple edits and time wasted.

I prefer the edited darker one, too.
It's interesting, or maybe not, many photographers seem to look down on the 24-105mm f4 and insist that you need the 24-70mm f2.8 for its faster aperture, I've not currently got either, but think the longer reach may be more useful (and quite a price difference) than the extra stop, particularly with the high ISO capabilities of more recent camera models, it seems that if you can live without the shallower DoF, maybe the f4 lens is more useful, I know this is maybe a bit of a chalk and cheese question, but what do you think?
Sure, we'd all like to always shoot primes, but life isn't always that simple!

Hi Vanessa do you think you could
have achieved the results with less light ? Or is all the lights necessary is the question. Thanks

nice tuto. I was surprised to see a softbox horizontal well above the head of the girl but it seems to make the right exposure on face and dress, ...

Interesting video. You used a term I haven't heard before when referring to the two Profoto lights at either side of the ballroom. I believe you called them intelligent lights. Is that correct? Can you please link to them. I would liketo read about them.

Hey Vanessa, what light stand are you using? Thanks.

I've noticed this on other videos too. Does the profoto actually record the TTL settings after shot on the display? For example, you initially shoot in TTL, and I'm assuming the display records the value 1/32. The reasons why I ask, is that most of the systems I've used in TTL still just display "TTL" after firing and don't show the value.

I didn’t understand the last light set up. Intelligent lights? There’s 4 lights in the last shot?
