The Shark Eater
The entry at #1 on the list is truly the most mysterious of all of these creatures, because quite simply, no one knows exactly WHAT it is. Back in 2003 marine researchers tagged a 9ft great white shark with a tracker, only to find the tracker washed up on shore a few months later.
When they checked the device they found that the 9ft Great White Shark they had tagged just months ago had actually been eaten and digested by something. Researchers were baffled because the tracker showed that the creature that had eaten the great white shark had a body temperature that was too low for a killer whale, but too high for it to be another shark.

Nearly 15 years later, the prevailing theory is that the 9ft great white shark was actually eaten by another super-massive cannibalistic great white shark, which sounds like the title of a Sci-Fi channel movie. But no one knows for certain just WHAT gigantic creature might have eaten that 9ft shark.

I think there was a detail missed about the shark tracker. I remember hearing that what was so crazy about that is how fast and how deep the tracker went after the shark was eaten. Showing it was definitely not a shark and maybe a giant or colossal squid? Something big and powerful that hangs out deep in the ocean.

For the last one, could it have been possibly a whale or oversized great white shark? There was one nuke’s top 5 fishing vid where a whale almost accidentally eats a diver in one gulp, and had jaws easily wide enough to. Maybe a whale that was hunting a school of fish and the shark just happened to be in the middle of it...

I’m pretty sure the angler fish live way further down undersea than 1 mile. In fact, I believe I saw photos from James Cameron‘s exploration when he submersed to the Mariana trench. That trench is at least 7 miles below ocean surface. There are a lot of interesting creatures that live that deep down. I forget the names of some of them but some regular fish were transparent looking . There is also shrimp that live there too.

Anglerfish are definitely horrific and scary looking. Fortunately most deep sea anglerfish are less than a foot long.

It's amazing how we know more about outer space than the deep sea ocean... Hopefully in the future we'll have advance equipments that will allow humans to travel or live under the ocean without surfacing.

The last one was a Megalodon. I watched a video the other day that had evidence that they’re still alive, living in the deepest depths of the ocean. Which would make sense
