It's crazy how someone can be hated for surviving such a tragic event without harming anyone😅

I wish someone would create a video about him. He deserves our support. He survived where 1500 did not.

He wasn’t the only one who got a ton of hate for surviving.

that just breaks my heart! people can be so judgmental, but yet day they have strong beliefs but wouldn't show love to someone who witnessed hundreds of people dying in a scary, brutal, and unexpected death. anybody in that situation around go in survival mood, and he did without harming or doing anything wrong.

Calling him a coward for surviving is crazy. He just wanted to go home to see his family😢.

This is only my speculation but perhaps this has to do with the collectivism of their culture. Rules and etiquette are very important to Japanese people so him: 1. Having to be woken, and then 2. Cutting in line, together might look bad.

But also (I'm sure many have heard of this one) but samurai often engaged in sempuku (stomach cutting) as su*cide when they failed important duties or acted dishonorably. Sacrifing ones life for others, or honor is not out of the question in japanese history and has played a role in the development of kamikaze war tactics. So... a combination of failure of curtesy and not putting his safety at risk for his fellow man. These cultural norms may have even stricter back then if i can guess.

Sometimes you shouldn't hate anyone for your reason or support him with their hat a heart😢❤❤❤❤

When the titanic started to sink the people on board realised that there was only space on the lifeboats to save half of them. All the men chose to stay behind so the women could live, that’s why he is seen as a coward.

Humanity will hate anything it can.
don’t forget how negative and destructive that we humans can be to each other. honestly it feels like we are inherently better at destroying each other than building each other up.
It’s just one of our god given traits we have since birth, our natural genetic programming.

I hope and pray we can someday be better to each other on a global scale and individually. putting another individual down so that you can gain for yourself is what society has made ‘normal’ or regular in everyday life. This has been something humans do throughout all of history, but it seems we break each other down on a massively larger scale than those who came before us. We can change this for the better and it all starts with every individual person, all of our actions matter and can have effect on others. Being mindful about how our own actions affect others can help us to be better to one another. I just hope that we can start making these changes on a mass level soon because it’s getting really bad and looks to only be getting worse and worse as the years keep going . I try to do my part as I know we can only do so much on an individual level, but like I said before it all starts with everyone’s individual actions.
Two wrongs never makes things right, and in our situation there are millions of wrongs with only hundreds of rights. At this rate we won’t even make it to the next century before we drive ourselves to extinction. But the more and more I think about it over time, the more I seem to think that we are made this way on purpose so that we never get past a certain point of evolution that our creator didn’t want us to surpass.

Maybe our never ending nature of self destruction is for a greater purpose than we can’t fully understand. That is what I would like to believe is the case here. Either way take care and do good things for each other cause you never know how much one positive action or statement can affect another person.

His story was truly a sad one 🤦‍♂️ 😢 i feel so bad for EVERYTHING that he had to endure and go through after surviving the damn ship sinking, and all of that just because he survived and didnt die and go down with the ship like a "MAN", his father said

You can see how a culture like this could totally dominate in a war. Never surrendering, never leaving a fallen comrade etc...
