Can you even fathom having that as a memory that actually happened to you, knowing what really happened to your loved ones.

The survivors guilt would have eaten her up inside throughout her life. Tragic!

I pray that she was reunited with her family she lost in life and that they are together once more

I can't even fathom the amount of survivor's guilt such people who lost their family must have..

I can’t imagine going though something like that. As a child watching your daddy and your older brothers who you absolutely love and adore, stay on a sinking ship knowing they are going to die a horrible death while you get lowered into the ocean and live.
As a mother this takes me apart. Getting on a boat only being allowed to take half of your family. Leaving the love of your life, and your two older children you love and cherish, knowing they will suffer and die while you stay strong for your younger children. Absolutely gut wrenching.

That poor woman.. I feel sorry she had to witness that, and hope she found peace finally

Not to mention that one of those brothers (Carl) was her twin. Imagine having a twin up to the age of 5, then going the remaining 90+ years of your life without him.

Imagine being in the presence of a person who was on the fucking titanic. That feeling must be nuts. It's like looking at history.
We all know what happened and that is was real but it feels so far away that it's honestly just mind blowing to me that there was a person in. 2006 who could remember what happened. Absolutely incredible

I’m glad we live in a time where we can get help for mental health. She and the others probably had survivors guilt and ptsd before it was even a thing. It’s disgusting people want to go to the site and take the ship apart. Just leave the titanic alone, it’s a graveyard and I can only imagine the horror of the night.

I hope she’s reunited with her family again, wherever they may be. Not sure what she believed in but I hope they’re all happy together in Heaven.

So many families broken, so many “underclass” locked in on the lower levels to minimize panic above. It’s a fascinating story, an incredible ship, but it must have been even harder on the survivors that journalists/the public desperately wanted them to tell and re-tell their accounts. Journalists can be extremely heartless trying to get a story, and I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to talk about the loss of family and friends in a chaotic tragedy.

Wonder how many nights she bawled her eyes out looking at the box...

She looks a lot like the little girl that Jack danced with and said "your still my best girl" before dancing with rose

This made me cry ugly tears. I couldn’t even imagine having to go through what she went through.

Imagine getting onto a lifeboat, having thousands of floating bodies around you and you just look at the sinking boat and seeing your family knowing they're not gonna make it

I feel so bad for this woman, imagine living through those memories for you entire life! I hope she’s finally resting with the rest of her family in heaven. Amen 🙏

Frank Prentice is the most amazing Titanic survival story ever. No one ever talks about him. He was a TRUE survivor.

Most of the survivors were 1st class members which is tragic.

I know this video was posted a while ago, but this is my first time seeing it. It got goosebumps all over my arms from hearing her story. The part that got me was how the faces of her father and brother haunted her for the remainder of her life. Such a sad story.
