How to Reset/Recover Forgotten Windows 7 Password - AvoidErrors

Forgetting your password is never any fun, but luckily there's a really easy way to reset the password. All you need is a copy of Hirens Boot CD

Change First Boot Device in BIOS to Boot From CD/DVD.

Launch Hiren's BootCD from USB Flash Drive

Although there are some hiccups along the way for example, i downloaded the 64bit hirensbootcd which cannot work for my 32bit pc. But after redownloading to a 32bit one.. Finally it works.. Bought an old laptop to use in my garage as data storage on repairs but it needed upgrades/ repair to the w7 op system. Hi Miguel,
I followed the instructions, for me I used a USB and all worked well untill I reached the selection of selecting Local Disc, I dont see any Local Disc in My Computer, but I see F disc, however when I change the drive letter to F and press Reopen, I can't find my username. Could you please tell me what is the problem?
BTY I am using windows 7.

Thanks, worked like a charm. I used Rufus to copy the bootable files onto my flash drive, plugged it into the PC running windows 7 and tapped F12 to get the boot selection menu. ( Using the latest Hirenz Boot CD PE x64 (v1.0.1) as of this comment).
