How to Reset Windows 11 Password Without Any Software

Important: This method should only be used if you don't have access to another computer and you need to gain access to your main pc.

1. hold left shift key and restart pc to get to advanced menu
and click troubleshoot, then click command prompt.
Now you need to find the Windows directory, its normally c: or d: you can type: dir to see files and folders in that directory.

2. type, cd windows and then type cd system32

5. control userpasswords2 then close cmd and login

6. repeat to change back

7. type cd windows and then type cd system32

You have just reset your forgotten Windows 11 login password.

Hi after renaming utilman and continuing to windows, if i click the accessibility button, it doesnt show command prompt

This doesn’t work anymore, at least on my version of windows, it asks for a password before going in to the command prompt at 1:18. That being said this is literally an exploit so I’m not surprised they patched it

If this isn’t working:

- Restart your PC
- While windows is loading (three spinning dots) hold down the power button for 10 - 15 seconds
- Do this twice and on the third startup windows will automatically bring up the troubleshooting page
- From there go to CMD and follow the steps in the video

Can you confirm the Britec account had a password at the start of the video?
I can't reproduce this on my PC. Windows asks for the password to start the first command prompt.
