Spiciness should be the correct adjective, it describes tongue sensation. Hotness refers to temperature, sensation of skin.

Would love to know exactly where my LaoGanMa sauces fall on the spectrum! (Actually, I would have liked to know BEFORE I purchased them! 😂.). That’s OK, they are worth every spoonful!! (My stomach ulcers disagree, but I refuse to be limited to bland, tasteless food after experiencing the delicious magic of Chinese food! I will happily deal with occasional stomach problems!). Actually, I am getting hungry just thinking about it right now...😁
