It's the CB650r for me. Honda has proven to be very reliable here in Africa. Even with the bad roads and all.

The word "affordable" is ashamed of itself now 😢

Great rundown of this class of bikes! I chose the SV650 because I was able to find an unmolested used one with under 10k miles on it for $3, 500.

I got a 2023 z650 exactly as pictured in the video. I did the tail delete as well as removing the passenger pad and pegs and replacing it with the stinger tail in metallic black.
Also added Yoshimi Alpha full exhaust system. In carbon. Sending the ECU to Moore Mafia next week.
Happy with it so far as a returning rider after 30 years.
Cheers all.

I bought the Triumph Trident after watching your videos and I LOVE IT!!! Incredible bike. Really playful and fun and more than enough power for what you need on UK roads. costs around £18 to fill up the tank which is good for 160 - 180 miles. Best purchase I've ever made

I’m a young rider, got my licence in august and bought my bike in September, I chose the trident 660.
After doing my lessons on the CB 650, trying the mt 07 and the hornet 750 I decided to try the trident because I loved the looks so much and I was amazed. It was way above my expectations, a retro / modern looking bike which is playful and fast. You can do everything on this bike, go fast, « chill », long rides (it’s confortable, even for someone on the back), wheelings etc.
Plus, you’ll be looked on the street because it is not a common bike AND it’s beautiful 😉
To everyone looking for a first (or not) bike, I strongly recommend the trident 🔱

I bought the Triumph Trident 660 back in October. The other bike I was considering was the Yamaha MT-07, but the Yamaha’s suspension is junk. My local Triumph dealer gave me a good deal, so it was a no-brainer. I’m very happy with the Triumph.

The SV650 is the one, I tell ya.

Rode it next to quite a few other bikes and happy to have had one for years. Still miss it!

Ended up buying the Hornet 750 last year, after considering the CB650R and the Tuono. I went through 3 bikes last year. Started out with the CB1000R (2019), then to a 900 Hornet (2002) and then onto the Hornet 750. The CB650R is a great bike, but just a smaller version of the 1000r. I test rode the Tuono factory, which i enjoyed, but was put off by the reliability issues of the engine. So decided on the Hornet 750. I took it out for a test ride twice. Once when it first came out, and just before buying one. It is so light, fun and flickable, probably because it has a narrow back tyre. I did feel it was a bit flighty at higher speeds, on the test ride. Not found that to be the case on my bike. Maybe the tyre pressures weren't bang on, when I rode the demo. Who knows? I would highly recommend riding as many bikes as you can, as its all very much down to your own perceptions. I've ridden sports bikes, tourers and super nakeds like the Tuono 1100 factory ( my Mate's). I am happy with my choice, as I can enjoy more of the bikes potential power, on the road. Plus for the price I paid, the bike has a lot going for it. I had the Quickshifter added, which is ok going up. Not so good coming down, imoa. The dash is great, and it comes with Bluetooth connectivity, as standard. You get turn by turn prompts on the screen, when you enable the Honda Roadsync app(which uses the maps on phone)
Anyway, go ride them all, and decide for yourselves. Ride safe Peeps 🙏

The Trident 660 is a great bike. I thoroughly enjoy mine. From the city to the twisted roads, it's a lot of fun.

Great run down of the range! I bought the GSX 8S which where i live is the same price as the Hornet without a quick shifter. Also better mid range grunt, room and cornering. The Aprilia is 30% more expensive at standard and 19% more on special. Same price as a Street Triple R on special.

I was looking at all these bikes (GSX-8S wasn’t yet out) this summer and I ended up buying a new 2022 Tuono 660 Factory for £8699. I was tempted by the Hornet which was £6999 at the time but I didn’t want to await delivery and the Aprilia is just so much more bike for not too much more money. 2000 miles later, I have no regrets. Plan to put as many thousand miles on as I can manage in 2024.

I went with a Trident last year, all good so far. I got a good trade in on my previous bike from the triumph dealer which helped with the choice.

The Tuono 660 would be top of my list.

I just purchased a tiger sport 660. It felt a bit more punchy than the trident inspite of them having the same engine. There is a good price difference between the 2 though. But my need for a comfortable pillion seat was mandatory.
