I’d like to know when this was? For my interview, the interviewer was in my city, I wasn’t asked to fly to meet him. The interview was about an hour talking about my military history and growing up background. I was told to go downstairs to eat lunch and then afterwards I spent three hours in another part of the building taking tests. A week later at home I received a phone call at 9pm saying there’d be a ticket waiting for me at the airport in two days. I flew to Baltimore, was met at the airport and driven in a van with 4 other people to an office building where I was polygraphed. Then after two hours, I was brought into a room with two of the other people, we were told that if we were going to go forward from here we’d hear something by mail. And to expect any further communications to be considered classified and if any further instructions were to be given it would all be at agency expense. A month later I received the employment offer letter. A 5 year initial contract. It included a start date, travel plans and food vouchers for airports. There was info on contacting the relocation Dept who helped secure housing. When I arrived in Virginia to start I had a townhouse apartment to move into on the Thursday before my start date the next Monday. Thus began the great game.

I love we have the CIA with us..Those guys are top notch..Everything with US Intelligence..Their reach is long and I wish when I was younger I took that route..I love the focus and mental aspect of it..the dedication and attention to detail..I missed that calling..

I know that's not 100% of the story but if some random called me & ask me meet at a hotel in a different state, I'd tell them to eat shit & hang up.

Crazy how an organization that has literally lost every conflict it’s been involved in is still around and people still want to work for them.

PS. SAD does not do the hiring. In my time, the person in charge of the Human Resources Division (now called Personnel Resources) in the Directorate of Support was named “Dorothy H”. They do the interviewing, testing and hiring of all candidates. Your initial entry training is based on where they decide you will work. Although you are paid fully and receive benefits while in training, your employment does not become “firm” until you pass the training and are accepted. After that point you can receive advanced training and move between positions. If SAD is interested in you, it’s only then that they can recruit you. I was a Paramilitary Officer while I was enlisted as a Major O4 in Army 10th SF Group. Once I left the Army I had to apply, interview and go through initial training again to become a contract analyst.

Joe is the shit.
Saw him on a show where he used rosary beads as a tracking device. They lost their magnifying glass after a full day of hiking.
He made it back within a few feet of the original camp site by using the beads as a step counter.
Simply awesome
