No offense, but those cupcakes are WAAAY too basic and small to be charging $55/dozen! Even living in an affluent area with numerous higher end bakeries, that's a staggeringly high price for what it is.

I always feel like ppl who cook, hands and nails should always be on point. They should be clean, clipped to a decent length for cooking, either polished or not polished. No chipped polish and severely grown out acrylic. The visual appearance of a cook's hands and physical appearance is simply importance. Everything should be well groomed.

If it cost you $40 (products and packaging) to make 12 cupcakes, I say this as someone who not only grew up in this business ( mother caterer and father baker) but catered for 18 years and now bakes and makes infused/medicated goods….. you’re doing something extremely wrong! Respectfully.

About $4.50 per cupcake is normal price for signature cupcakes in California (I can't speak for elsewhere). She also said the $39 included paying for her time y'all.

People who say other bakeries charge more miss the point. This is not a French Bakery. These are not custom painted designs. These are homemade Oreo cupcakes served in plastic cups. If she wants to charge that much, she needs to have a reputation, product, and packaging to back it up.

Keep in mind, at once she probably shoves to the oven 36 cupcakes, so 45 dollars profit for one baking tray is a loot - and she used the same amount of electricity, same amount of water to wash dishes afterwards, same time (as she taxed it twice)

How ppl so mad? Ppl must buy it….. it’s just not you! If it’s not worth it to u, just don’t patronize. Ppl have the right to set THEIR price. If it’s not YOUR price, don’t try to calculate, compare, or demean her. If no one patronized her, then she would have to re-evaluate her price until then…..keep getting money girlie 🙌

As a pastry chef I can and will say thats insane for a dozen cupcakes. We sell speciality cupcakes 32.50 a dozen.

I want to see the ingredients. I call BS on it costing almost $40 to make cupcakes . I get charging for time but cupcakes are seriously easy and cheap.
