The next mission will be the Further Asteroid Redirection Test, or FART, designed to turn asteroids into gas.

So hitting a precise building in Beijing at a supersonic speed is not that hard for the US 🇺🇲.

What if the asteroid knows how to dodge it

How ironic would it be if the rocket ends up changing the trajectory of the astroid so it does end up crashing onto Earth 🤣🤣😂

Maybe I'm crazy, but whenever I see a story like this, I get the sense there are a LOT of metaphors being conveyed to "people in the know."
Goddess of nature (Artemis) is having her path altered.
If I'm right, we should probably expect a tsunami, volcano, or some other global natural disaster to hit any day now.

Looks like a staff meeting at Best Buy.

what if by doing this, we just create a new orbit for others that will be affected by the change of this asteroid and now a really big one will hit us

All these nukes we have can go to work on the astroids after Putin is vaporized.

we need to figure out a way to land rockets on asteroids so we can move them in a controlled manner. this would also come in handy when we start mining asteroids. jut saying.

OK seriously some of the comments I see on here how the hell did some of these people graduate!!
The only question I have is why the hell would they waste $330 million on something they’re just gonna blow up honestly I think there’s more to the story than they’re telling us !?

The asteroid was in Artemis' flight path. Perhaps when she is finally despatched she will find Apollo?

It really looked like a huge ball of dirt eh. I wonder what is in the middle? Is the core solid or is it literally a huge pile of rocks and dirt that would fall apart if it stopped moving?

I can't believe how absolutely stupid and mindless some of these comments are. There is no cure for stupid.

What a waist of time and money like throwing a golf ball at a wall
Do these guys have nothing else to do with their money
Do they even know there is millions of homeless people here
I love space exploration but seriously 😐

Maybe it will be able to deflect that asteroid Apophis that's projected to come close or potentially make impact on Earth on April 13th, 2029. It'll probably miss Earth but it could get close I heard.
