How long do panic attacks last? The answer may surprise you! The length of a panic attack is going to be different for everyone. Some people have long lasting panic attacks while others have short or quick panic attacks. When a panic attack starts, it usually peaks or maxes out at 10 minutes. From there average length of a panic attack is 20-30 minutes and rarely last more than an hour. I had panic disorder for 4 years and that anxiety turned into health anxiety, social anxiety, and depression. I started having constant panic attacks 5-10 times a day! I was a hypochondriac and thought that my panic attacks were heart attacks. My first panic attack lasted for 6 hours! Can you imagine?! I had all the crazy physical symptoms of a panic attack for that long! As I got my panic disorder under control that last year my panic attacks became much shorter until I wasnt having them at all! I hope that could answer how long are panic attacks!

I had one today out of the blue, no warning signs. I felt as if I was gonna either fall or die and my heart beat was so crazy, I went to the er they said I was fine. But I know what I went through it happened in the middle of the street I don't even remember how I got home. It lasted a whole hour slowing down gradually. I kissed all my kids good bye before going to the hospital didn't know if I was gonna come back home. I believe God gave me a second chance today. Truly felt like my time had come.

Bro I can tell how much your videos have helped me out. I was going through the same thing a few years ago….i got better. Stopped the bad lifestyle.

Unfortunately I started smoking weed and drinking again. And now they are coming back, but I know better now. I’m working on living a sober life, there is no better high then having peace of mind

Thank you so much for this video. I NEVER comment but I'm currently going thru a severe panic attack. It's been a week so far. Last Friday I was fine then out of nowhere I ended up getting severe chest pain with each breathe I took. I've had anxiety attacks throughout the last two years but this was the first time I've felt this way. I went to the Er, twice in less than 12 hrs. Now forward to today I'm still waking up each morning in a panic. Heart racing, sweating, disconnected. I'm struggling to find out how to control this. I myself haven't been able to find anyone whom seems to have longer then the "Average" attack. Your video gives me hope and lets me know that I AM ok and not crazy. I'm ready to take my life back. Again ty

This video really calmed me down. I've been a police officer for years and it seems all the stress and anxiety are really catching up to me. I'm not sure if I have PTSD on top of all this but I probably do with all the death and carnage I've seen over the years. I pray we all find happiness and the good life we all deserve.

I just started having them this month and it’s every morning now when I wake up. Sometimes they’ll last for 6 to 10 hours, feeling like I’m going to vomit and pass out. Went to the ER one of the first days and got sent home after all normal tests even though I could barely stand. So glad to know I’m not alone.

Thank you for this, I am only just sobar after 15 years of heavy drinking, heroin and benzoes after leaving the RAF Regiment, I didn't know that I had ptsd, and mine go on for days, , just the mention of the the word Hart for example and I'm in crisis mode, so it didn't help that during my detox (I would advise anyone to go to a detox clinic) my BP went up to 254 over 122, so I have been pretty much in a constant state of panic for 4 weeks, every little twitch, or pain sets one off, and until watching this I was resigned to the fact that I was going to, at some point have to have a drink again just to get some relief, so thanks, you stopped me from reaching for the bottle again

My panic attacks would be like 3 hours long but my issues is some of the side effects lasted for days after the panic attacks. It’s horrible and actually now it’s gotten better because I can cope with working out and having job that focuses on tasking.

I've issues with anxiety most of my life. This week i experienced my first panic attack. I have feel into the same type of cycle you were talking about. I feel like I'm having a never ending attack. Not nearly as severe as the first one, but my chest still hurts from the attack on Monday and it's now Friday. They anxiousness about having another attack keeps me in a state of anxiety. This video has shined some light on what I've been experiencing. Thanks.

Had one last night for over an hour. Wanna know what triggerd it? Alchohol, dehydrated, just broke up with gf of 4 years, thinking of work, thinking of how I'm going to get money for bills, child support, smoking, and the list goes on. It started with my heart rate high and I checked pulse and got higher and higher and then dizziness then pure fear and feeling of doom. Living with for over 15 years. I feel everyones pain and hope you all can get better. Here's a trick. works for some. The minute you feel it coming grab something extremely sour like a candy and eat. My cardiologist told me about this. It's about transferring your mind to something else.
