You may think a TV is fine for you… but until you've experienced a 100+ inch screen (often much bigger) on your comfortable couch, there's no comparison; you have no idea what you're missing.

Or have both. I have a 1080p projector with 7.1 for my theatre room and a 4k Tv with dolby atmos surround sound in my living room.

I prefer both. I put a 75 inch Sony in my dedicated home theater with a 125 inch drop down in front. I have watched 30-50 hours on the TV in 2 years. Wasn't expecting it to be that way.

I’m happy with my 55 inch C7. Got that Dolby Vision and Atmos and I sit about 6-7 feet away. It’s freaking amazing.

My 7 year old Epson 5020 allows for a great 120” picture in my white living room.
In my blacked out Theater room, I have to use a lower brightness calibration because it’s too bright. Flat Screens are overkill in brightness and under kill in size.
And for those who think their living room cant accommodate a projection system, you just haven’t look how easy it’s to add one. For as little as $1000 you can have a HD quality 8 foot wide theater in your living or bedroom. Yes, 20 feet will be a little more.

Great video, to me the bigger the screen the better the experience, no movie looks as good as 120 inch screen, normal tv shows yes but big blockbuster movies never translate to a smaller screen .

If I may add to this: For the full home-theater experience you want to go pretty loud on your speakers, regardless brand and cost. be sure to install your home-theater in a place where neighbours won't be bothered. Don't be like me and buy a svs sub in a dorm-room, shaking the glasses out of your upstairs-neighbours' cabinet (no joke).

I find it funny when people have all of these huge speakers in their living room, but it's a 55-65" TV. I know everyone doesn't have the available space, but if you can, you should always go projector. It's just a more immersive experience for those who want a true home theater.
