Brought my Camry into a Toyota dealer to diagnose the front end shaking. Inner tie rods 1, 800.00, I laughed and replaced them myself for 80.00 and it wasn't the problem. was CV joints also done myself. This was also after the previous owner was told he needed a new engine when towed in for a dead battery. Two different Toyota dealers. it's sickening, they figure you'll trade it in rather than fix it.

Honda wanted to charge me $127 for two (2) wiper blades for my vehicle that needed to be replaced. I laughed and bought the wiper blades myself for less than $20 and installed it. These dealers are literally “stealers”….

Hey, I got a b*tch. At the Maverick gas stations in Cheyenne and northern Colorado, when I start pumping the gas, a loud, obnoxious video begins playing on the gas pump screen. I enjoy the Maverick stations in general, but now I seek other places.

I had a similar experience but with my late beagle bandit. I noticed that he was bleeding and rushed him to a pet hospital in NYC where I live. They quoted me $2, 200 to keep him overnight for observation no treatment or anything. Unfortunately I decided to put him to sleep. I had taken him prior to that to his regular vet. I had noticed that he was unevenly fat near the back and when I mentioned that to my vet she said he is only fat. I had to rush him to the hospital that same day where unfortunately I had to make the choice to euthanize him. I was so distraught and pissed . I know it’s not a vehicle related story but shows that you can be ripped off in any industry. Love your channel Scotty.

Finding broken and un-maintained gas stations becoming more common these days.

Many decades ago the window on my Mazda 929 wouldn't open or close. I took it to the stealership. They said the motor was "shot" and had to be replaced. I could hear the motor revving so I knew it wasn't "shot". I asked, "Are you sure?" The stealership rep said, "Absolutely! The guy who checked it does this particular work day in and day out, for many years". I was just a young girl and didn't know any better, but I said I will go for a second opinion. They charged me $35.00 for that misdiagnosis. I went to a windshield/car window repair shop. I pulled into their drive way and a friendly Mexican man asked, "What can I help you with?" I explained my plight to him. He smacked that glass window and told me to try and see if it worked. It worked! He said, "The glass was just out of the track". I knew it wasn't the motor yet I didn't know what it could be. I asked him how much I owed him, and he said, "Oh, nothing". I thanked him profusely. I was holding back tears, remembering my late father. He reminded me of my father who was honest, hardworking, never took advantage of anyone, but helped everyone. I went back to the stealership and got my $35.00 back. I reported them to the government's consumer watch dog because when I was at the stealership, I saw all those senior citizens waiting for service and wondered how they were going to be victimized. I actually received a call from the consumer watch dog thanking me for reporting the incident. The lady I spoke with told me the stealership claimed, "It was a rookie we just hired who worked on her car". I break into a cold sweat every time I need to take in my car for repairs.

Scotty I've been asking that question for years. Why not methanol? It burns 100% only trace amounts of carbon. If fact it is a 100% evaporated material such as acetone. Ethanol history be fermented and in the process contains sugars which when burned leave a ton of carbon.

Methanol works well, but you need to double the size of the fuel tank, plus all fuel system components need to be made of something that won't corrode.

Scotty, fun fact. A Boeing 777 on a long haul flight can have up to ~48, 000 gallons of fuel on board. And those planes never stop, almost always in the air. My gas station story, in WV at a gas station off I-64. the hose exploded open and showered me with fuel. The ladies inside quickly took me to the back where they had a shower and eye wash. They filled out an incident report. The next day their insurance company called me and sent me a nice check. They also sent me to a doctor and optometrist of my choice since I was a pilot.Despite the hose being rotted out and showering me with gas, I was happy with the outcome.

OMG for an estimate??!!! Honda should be looking at this dealership! Proble. Here in the US, there are no regulations that are being imposed on crooked dealerships.

Scotty, the problem with the maintenance at these convenience store gas stations is one of the Government's making. They have hiked the minimum wage up so high, they can't afford to pay someone to slowly go around and fill the towel holders and put water in the reservoirs.
