"just left" apparently means "13 years ago" to Mr. Kilmer.

Suzukis are actually pretty damn good cars. Been driving my SX4 from 80k miles to 210k. Only major repairs was the rack and pinion and the valve cover gasket. Honestly I want another one.

I handed down a forzenia to my daughter after she finished college. I can't bad mouth Suzuki she had a bad accident. She walked away safely and unharmed. The cabin stayed intact. So they did right by her.
May God bless everyone 🙏

You can definitely get an ignition switch. It’s based on the Chevy Equinox

I drove a Geo Metro, which is really a Suzuki, for about a month once when my Honda was in the body shop. Being a 5-speed, it was a fun little car to drive, and it was both frugal and reliable for the time I had it.

The problem was always the Daewoo and GM rebadged models. Full Suzuki designed and made models are solid and reliable as can be. GM killed Suzuki's reputation in the US with crappy rebadges.

I got a 2008 Suzuki Forenza last year for my first car. Has some minor issues needed for inspection, tie rods bad, calipers bad, stuff like that, but it's been super good to me even with the issues.

I can get nearly ever single part, even including obscure body panels, for my 87 Suzuki Samurai from Ebay. They come from India, where the last remaining Suzuki factories remained and there is a very healthy aftermarket.

Easy way to find the circuit is leave your amp clamp on and start pulling fuses, often you can find a starting point by finding the offending circuit. Just remember to put your fuses back in as ya do it.

Suzuki didn't completely leave the US. They still have motorcycle dealerships. And their bikes sell like pancakes at IHOP!

Had a Suzuki SX4 sport sedan for 5 years! It was a great car! Handled just lke an older BMW 320i. Same suspention ! Could cruze at 70 80 mph all day. Very solid build quality!

Install a remote battery cut-off to the negative terminal. Then use the key fob to turn off the battery when not driving the car.

Suzukis are actually solid cars that are popular globally except in the US.

we have loads of Suzuki cars over here in England badged as Vauxhalls (GM Europe). they're one of the most reliable long lasting and economical cars you can buy in the modern era and they're cheap to buy.
unfortunately no car is perfect but I bet that ignition switch can be sourced on the aftermarket via eBay without breaking the bank.

You could also install a toggle switch in the power wire going to the ignition switch

Suzuki Equator here, just did coil packs, spark plugs, idler pulley and for giggles replaced the rear bumper at 300, 000. Did all the work ourselves and spent around 5-600$ in parts. Watch out for the plastic T connectors going into your heater core because they will break. Probably spent more time and money fixing all that than anything else on the truck. Cheap tires and brakes with 10, 000 mile oil change intervals since new and the trucks still paying for itself. Parts piggyback off of the Nissan Frontier with minor changes.
