Please be careful with that! The skin under the armpits is very sensitive and the acid could even burn the skin

Note: darkening armpits can be* a sign of insulin resistance progressing toward diabetes. Our skin tells us a lot about our health, and focusing only on the aesthetic aspect can keep us from learning important (and potentially lifesaving) information.

*Edit: Holy smokes, folks, I said CAN BE. If dark pits are normal for you, ignore. If it’s a new or worsening thing, be aware that it COULD be clinically significant and ask your doctor if concerned.

I have dark underarms due to PCOS. I also have a thyroid problem, fatty liver and tomorrow is another day of laboratory tests to know my other illness. So instead of being insecure having dark underarms just be thankful if you don't have other underlying illnesses. 😊

in case anyone reads my comment, PLEASE DONT KEEP THE COTTON PAD FOR ANY LONGER THAN 5 MINS. I’m assuming the influencer used The Ordinary AHA BHA peeling solution. And even if you do apply the serum atleast dilute it and rinse it off! The skin under there is extremely sensitive and it might lead to even more darkness. Please consult a dermatologist rather than doing irreversible damage to your skin.

I'm done caring about discoloration. It's just not that big an issue. I'm healthy, I'm good

I heard it’s not safe to use products other than intended especially with this chemical peel. Please be careful it can cause burns

Armpit are actually warm areas, which is why they are prone to inflammation especially around the lymph nodes, their so DO NOT TRY THIS because of the video it may have not gone wrong with her but it may go wrong with you. It is not recommended by the dermatologists infact it is a big no from them!

DO NOT do it straightly for ten minutes without a test. And better dont do it at all. Better get yourself a crem with parsley, it can lighten up dark spots after breakouts as well. Acids in the armpits, where we have lymph nodes and highly sensitive skin... not a safe idea

I couldn't imagine dedicating time in my life to lightening my armpits. I spent 10 years spending far to much time on my physical appearance, removing hair, makeup, treatments ugh. Some people enjoy that, but I never did. I feel free now.

Just letting you know that your eye patch’s as on backwards the bigger part should be closer to your nose and the thin part should be closer to the end of you’re eyebrow ❤

Use glycolic acid cream and don't use razors. Use chemist at play roll on. Be gentle and Use hands to wash your underarms. Don't Use harsh scrubs. You'll def notice the difference.

Using chemical exfoliators also decreases bacteria growth so it prevents some body odor.

I don't know if all of y'all have used The Ordinary's peeling solution, but I left it on my face for over 12 hours once, and my face didn't fall off! Nothing bad happened. My skin was more soft, red, and sensitive than usual, but other than that, I was fine. I don't use much of the product, or use it often, only once a week at most usually, but a lot y'all seem to think it'll cause horrible chemical burns for most people. I've heard of the stories, but I haven't experienced anything like that myself.

Regardless, everyone should always learn what's best for the skin and be careful with acids and health in general. Always patch test and carefully introduce potent stuff in increments, especially when advised to. Read labels.

I believe a simple exfolant and some light brushing could really help. A simple AHA exfoliant would be more gentle. This seems a little to harsh

I never tried this, but I use TO's Glycolic Acid after every shower. It helps with armpit color but also acts as an anti perspirant. I have rosacea-prone, sensitive skin so unless you're sensitive to it, using the toner will probably be fine. For this peel - I can't say.

My underarm got so dark during pregnancy I was so desperate for them to lighten so I resorted to stuff like this. It burned and got worse that it also irritated the skin around that area. Like I have a huge red patch in the beginning that turned brown on both upper right and left sides of my body near my boobs, and also on the skin on both arms (the skin that touches your sides).

Took weeks for the irritation to completely go away. Took months for the discoloration to kinda lighten. So since then I just followed my mom', $ advise not to use anything like this and just stick to my holy grail Milcu Deo 😂

Neat trick I learned was to take a large dose of vitamin c daily. Like 10k mg

TO 7% Glycolic Acid is better as its more gentler than this. Still, id be very wary of putting exfoliating acids on the underarms. The skin there can be very sensitive
