What caused my underarm to get dark was shaving. I shaved most of my life until I stopped about 11 years ago. I now just use hair removal cream and it gradually lighten back to my skin tone. Razor burns and ingrown hairs were the culprit.

I have seen great results following Dr. Dray's suggestion of applying benzoyl peroxide nightly letting it sit for a few minutes and rinsing. I apply my anti-perspirant at night, on swipe versus the multiples before and after I shave i apply lotion and let it dry then anti-perspirant. The skin is more even and no issues.

You are so on the point for the natural deodorants because I always had really nice under arms pits, but my boyfriend decided that we should go natural (because of the cancer thing and toxics in anti-perspirants), and I have never had so much irritation in my life in that area. It got so bad that the skin was just peeling, I gave the journey up. It was not doing the job, I needed any way as far as keeping dry and order free. So now the follicles there are black, even right after I have shaved. Girl you just remind me that I use to scrub my armpits and I have not done that since I went from doing the natural thing and I just felt that this had abused it enough, but it should be healed by now and I can go back to scrubbing the pits. I have always lotion that area because it is skin. This video is just in time for working on that area since it going to be hidden during most of the time during Fall and Winter. I get electrolysis done every 3 to 4 weeks on my chin. I'm about 8 months in and l went from 45 minute session to 30 minutes and l think I'm almost to 25 minutes. It's worth it because l HATE the hairs on my chin and neck. Make sure to use a numbing cream before your appointment and try to book your appointments a week or two before your period and you should be fine! 😌

You are hilarious. I'm a white woman with armpits of color. That's why I came here. I know why they are doing it because my hormones suck at the moment. Started HRT. I Thought now was the time to address the difference, but now thinking of just getting some tanning cream for the rest of my arms to match my armpits might be an easier temporary solution? Why do they need to be white? It's over rated!
