Great explanation. I always like to see that I remember so I don't keep sinning and I remember what offended God. But God on the other hand forgets completely: Mic 7:19, Heb 8:12 and Heb 10:17 are the verses that come to my mind. Thanks for taking the time to study, record and share these.

Jesus is God. God didn’t “punish” Jesus for our sin. God saved us from our sin by his precious blood shed on the cross. The dome it was empty. Jesus resurrected from both His body and His spirit.

Does that include divorce (my ex wife was unfaithful)? I never had kids with her (she changed her mind and didn't want any). I still wish and hope to have a family one day--- yet there is a large contingent of Christians who believe that all remarriage is permanent adultery, despite the mat 19:9 exception clause.

I discovered that passage back when I chose to divorce. I was sort of an asterisk Christian back then. Fast forward to now, I've become deeply serious about it. Reading the bible cover to cover, reading books by christian authors, praying, watching tons of Christian youtube content, going to church, playing in a praise band.

And now I find out this issue is a "gotcha." Too bad buddy, you have to remain celibate or go to hell, is what I'm being told by some.

I am concerned because I accepted a slice of melon that my sister said was soul food and my sister had reptilian eyes. Next many christians said I sold my soul to the devil and am headed for hell. I find this hard to get over and annoyed with my sister even though she only remembers offering the slice of melon.

"Thank you for punishing Jesus instead of punishing me for those sins."" ...Not a good way to say it, friend. That gives a very strange thought. You would not say, for example, "Mom and Dad, thank you for punishing my brother John instead of me. Thats just not a Christian sentiment....maybe cut that from your talk (the rest is good). Christ redeemed us of our Sins but the punishment for our sins is still experienced temporally, albeit lessened, and entirely spiritually forgiven.
