How do the neighbours feel about Paralimni marina?

We talk to some of those who'll be affected by the construction of the proposed new marina in Paralimni.

Give us a break. Your villas will be valued double, not to say triple, than the money you paid to buy them 20 years ago, once the marina is fully operational!
As for the protected zone of the coast, that does not apply when a marina is designed and licensed. There is an Environmental Assessment study which takes all these into consideration.
Moreover, the marina is placed on the bloody sea coast not a mountain!
Really laughed when the lady on the video said that the Ayia Napa Marina is been built outside the village in the fields...we will see what becomes there in 20 years time!
The Paralimni marina’s location is the best outcome because it is at a centrical point between Paralimni’s town centre and it’s touristic coast line which starts from Konnos beach till Kapparis area. So placing it at Pernera/Ayia Triada area is indeed ideal, both tourists in Protaras area and tourists in Kapparis area as well as for the local residents of the whole Paralimni municipality.
Lastly, not only there was public consultation, but there were also Q&As three years ago between the municipal board, the investor and Paralimni citizens.

P.s. If you can afford to buy a house at that location, then one can imagine that you can also afford to buy an apartment on the Marina’s premises, if you will miss your precious morning sunrise. And definitely you have no right to sabotage a 110 million project, which is so important to the local economy, simply because you will lose your privilege of having a sea view or a morning sunrise view!
