I think its determination beacause, how can he be so strong, so unbeatable if he only has 1 ATK and 1 DEF. Plus do you notice only colors of souls appear in battle? For example, Asriel, he absorbs all the human souls thats why his power is Asgore, his eyes gleamed aqua and orange before he attacks, which symbolizes bravery and patience. Papyrus, his attacks are aqua whick means you cant move when it approaches. And ofcourse sans, his eye turns aqua and yellow which is patience and justice, well thats kinda obvious because he is patient to make you give Even if it meant to fight for hours and he wanted justice for the monsters we killed.

To be fair, though maybe and maybe even probally a joke video, this could very well be the case. He could've had a ketchup bottle hidden in the back of his hoodie so when the attack would've hit it would hit the bottle of ketchup, though maybe also hitting him insted of taking the hit. And why? Probally to have one last prank towards frisk and the player before dying to confuse them and make them try to figure out how the heck can a monster bleed and never get anywhere. To try and frustrate them to screw with them incase they chose to erase the world since it's the best revenge he could put them through incase he couldn't make them give up.
