Sadly, this feature is so limited it's almost useless. I wish they would allow you to either increase the size of the downloaded area or allow you to download per country. It's a ridiculous limitation that they don't even allow you to download an area with a radius that equals the range on your drone. If you visit multiple areas in one day (or even a whole trip), you have to spend hours on downloading maps. Hopefully they will improve it so it's more functional in a future update.

Good video. Just a side note that might help other users. In order to download the maps, the drone has to be on! Then select the profiles button.

Also if your doing this at home before you fly make sure to put a fan on the drone (especially if downloading a lot of maps) otherwise it will hit its thermal limit and turn off.

Oh the timing of You posting this video was near perfect for me. Couldn't figure out why I was unable to access the map a few days ago. Downloading a few today. I will try to use my phone as a hotspot to download in a few days within the field in case I need that option.

I really hope they improve offline maps. It's so terrible. You should be able to download much larger areas at once, and satellite views

Just got the dji rc and tried to download offine maps, very very disappointed to find out that we can only download a tiny size each time. What is DJI thinking? Weird decision that make offline map close to useless.

When I downloaded a couple of areas, I also got data for satellite images. Go to right side of screen and tap the layers icon. Select satellite or mixed. It does however take 30-40 seconds for the satellite image to show up and you can't zoom in as close as you would be able to on Google Earth, for example.
