I'm from Pakistan, and we drink "doodh soda" (milk soda) in the summers. It's a refreshing drink and is made in a similar way, but instead of coke, we use Sprite and plain milk.

For those who are actually wondering why it's a Utah thing, Mormons aren't allowed alcohol or caffeine, so they are highly addicted to sugary drinks instead, in a million different combinations. This particular example has diet soda but the idea is the same.

In South Africa 🇿🇦 alot of people mixes coke (original) or our soda (cream soda) with vanilla ice cream. It tastes pretty good it’s called a coke float

As someone who drinks the Fairlife vanilla protien shakes a lot. I can confirm that it's essentially like drinking vanilla ice cream. So it is in fact a melted rootbeet float but with coke. 👌

Utahn here. Mixing anything with soda is pretty common, as tons of people here are Mormon and don’t drink coffee, but still want a “fun drink” that’s like coffee. There’s tons of soda shops!
