been watching around 5 years, second watch ep 758 in whole cake island, and during this ark i had a thought that make me come up with this theory, remember when big mom starts telling luffy hes a whoosie for not fighting her and not running with the crew to the shore to escape after getting sanji and germa 66 free. well luffy says "im gonna beat kaido first" and while i initially took this as him just trying to get under skin. but them she responds with "you have a long way to go to hurt him if this is all you have" and i think that this is a telling interaction for many reasons, like big mom said he did say he was going to kick her ass on fish man island an din the book prison. And then suddenly he just isn't interested in anything more than a punch and deflate. yet runs head over heels to fight katakuri and then run again, while i chalked it up to him being airheaded, i think that the sun god and his will are strong internal pulling in the will of luffy, and his "awakening" is the point where his "latent ability" or his overall position emotionally, and how close he is to his current goal, is what is going to be what takes them to the one piece, it will get to the point wehre luffy himself starts knowing things that he doesn't know and that is the power of the sun god nika, indomitable will and the ability to control universal pulls of fate so well they just decide to fall into place for you. I think that is what joy boy meant when he said one day joy boy would return, that the will to be free and to free is such a universal truth and someone one day will carry there own torch where he did, which i think is the one piece and the only reason roger made it is becasue his will and dreasm alome made up for the lack of nikas internal drive (the devil fruit compelling luffy)

One piece might be freedom. Someone that finds freedom with no corrupted laws. Luffy might become king of the world and do this. One piece might be the imagination of freedom coming to life from that one person. So if he take defeat military and everyone that standing in his way and take over as a king of pirate this might happen
