They meet Ace in the day, during all the chaos and bedlam.

and i find it cute that when sabo was leaving the house he said the same thing that ace said in alabasta, it was something like ''older brothers always gets worried about their younger brothers, so take good care of him [luffy]'' and it was so cute, even zoro smiled
