I think people should give up on the idea of Luffy and Dragon having a warming reunion lol. When they meet it's probably going to be like when Gon met Ging in HxH, both proud of each other but emotionally distant.

I think monkey d dragon does indeed care alot about luffy, and his actions put all his loved ones in great danger with the world government. Except garp, wince garp has done great things as a marine and is known as the hero. Dragon knew luffy would be safe with garp.

Dragon left luffy with graps cause his work is to risky and if people knew Dragon the most wanted man had a son they will go after luffy so Dragon was looking out for luffy, lucky he has been looking out for luffy, he dose actually care he dosnt show it and he thought it was right for luffy to grow up with graps, graps also didnt want anyone to know he has a grandson thats why luffy has a care-taker and graps vists sometimes Dragon & Grap are smart they keep things important to them hidden from the world smart family!!
